Many years ago my parents owned a video shop and we got a film called “Mad Mission 2″ a chinese film which featured some of the worst dubbing in the world, stupidest action sequences and weirdest robots… Yes you heard me ROBOTS!! and I couldn’t help but be nostalgic and check it out on YouTube.
I thought I would share the film with you and ask the question…
What film from your childhood was so amazing and Fabulous when you were young..but utterly cringe worthy today..
Announced earlier this year at E3, the update has finally graced our home consoles and we can happily (or lazily) browse through our Facebook/Twitter feed with glee. I’m not entirely sure how much this will revolutionise the game players world but its a clear sign that social media is the ‘tech’ way forward for staying connected to everyone. The obvious setback is that it will take forever to constantly post anything new from your console without the fancy keyboard attachment as fumbling through the letters with your controller will just piss you off eventually. The other drawback is the obvious lack of actually being able to DO anything with facebook or twitter. Without a browser you can’t follow links or watch videos or really do anything but use these platforms as ‘lite’ versions. Hopefully more will be introduced in the near future.
But I won’t leave feeling completely pessimistic about this new update. I do believe giving your friends more of a chance to know when you’re on-line or what game you’re playing has real benefits. Until now, I’d have to go onto the Xbox Live website in order to see if anyone was on-line or what game they are playing. I think in time Facebook and Twitter will certainly grow but it needs to find its niche within the gaming industry. With Sony announcing that they too will be adding support for Facebook in the near future, it seems competition between the two heavy hitting consoles will now expand even further.
I don’t know why I’m so fascinated by this but I had to watch the whole way through. I loved the little toys that walk on and try to knock over the 117 objects all balanced onto one lego brick!
Now I have always had an interest in Gaming and Movies as my fellow colleague has and over the last 15 years Hollywood has tried to turn some of the best selling and most loved games into marketable movies which kids and adults of all ages will love…. well they have tried and in my view there have been more misses than hits..

I’m very interested in video mash-ups and every now and then (when I’m inspired) I attempt at making my own. A decent musical score/soundtrack can make a piece of film fantastic and add a whole new level to what the viewer is seeing. When editing these videos I want to get that right mix of timing and pace and try to show off what’s great about what you’re watching. Whilst watching the advert for the latest Call of Duty game I was inspired by the musical choice that accompanied the footage.
Here’s my take:
I apologise for the lack of quality. I only have Windows Live Movie Maker at the moment and it’s a constant battle to get anything looking good on it.
Such a good idea! I’m a huge fan of the Call of Duty games and there’s a few insider jokes in this video that combines the classic Omaha Beach scene with the popular WW2 shooter.
Just found this on You Tube, its the new trailer for the film “The Grown-Ups” which stars 5 of the top comedy actors:
Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade and Rob Schineder are the most bankable stars in Hollywood today… Well Adam Sandler and Chris Rock are, the others are coming into their groove.. but I ask the question, does this mean we will see more dream team films?? there is The Expendables coming with Sly Stallone, Jason Stathma, Jet Li and Dolph “where has my career gone” Lundgren.
I wonder what othe dream team films will they come up with….
Dame Judi Dench, Sophie Loren, Meryl Streep and Diane Keaton in Calendar Girls 2: They cook, they clean they bikini wax….
Billy Crystal, Steve Martin, Robin Williams, Chevy Chase and Martin Short in The 5 Amigos: we need the work…
