Little Big Planet.

I’ve wanted to discuss Little Big Planet for a while but didn’t want to give a review as there’s just so much I haven’t done within the game yet so I’ll stick to a ramble about one of the most inspirational, fantastic games that I’ve ever seen/played.
Firstly, I have to say that LBP was the game that finally got me to buy a PS3 and I’m fairly confident I won’t be the only one buying it for just this game. The draw to this game comes from many different factors. It suites the hardcore gamer with the possibility of creating your own levels and trying to get the highest score on the already thousands of user-created levels online. The casual gamer can simply pick up and play the ingenius game levels, play with their friends online or at home and customize their little sackboy to their hearts content. Even the so-called ‘non-gamer’ will find this game entertaining as my partner found just the in-game commentary by the well spoken Stephen Fry intruiging enough to sit with me for an hour and watch me play.

The amount of variety is staggering, your character alone has so many clothing/decorating options its ridiculous. The levels are obviously going to take a little time to get the kind of results that you want but again when you put your mind to it you can make almost anything you want to. Instead of trying to ramble on about everything I can pluck from my mind about this game I’ll show you a few MUST-TRY levels that are cropping up in the LBP Universe.
Mirrors Edge: This one captures the game so well, I don’t think I’ll buy Mirrors Edge.
Takeshi’s Castle: This makes perfect sense in a LBP world. It just fits.
Newgrounds: Ok so I’m a biased fanboy that loves Newgrounds, just try the level.
I’ll post some more once I’ve found the appropriate vids on youtube!
