College Humor guys are at it again, this time with a total recreation of the title sequence from the popular Disney cartoon DuckTales.

Wow a true music legend has passed away aged only 50. Michael Jackson has died of cardiac arrest in Los Angeles today.
Report from the BBC website:
Pop star Michael Jackson has died in Los Angeles, aged 50, reports say.
Paramedics were called to the singer’s home around midday local time on Thursday after he stopped breathing and suffered a suspected cardiac arrest.
He was rushed by ambulance to a local medical centre, but his death was announced shortly afterwards.
The star, who had a history of health problems, had been due to begin a series of comeback concerts in the UK on 13 July.
Whatever happened with his personal life he was a true performer that most from my generation will never forget.

Film Trailer – Cold Souls
•June 23, 2009 • Leave a CommentThis film looks interesting if not a little quirky, the style reminds me slightly of the film ‘Being John Malkovich’.
Synopsis from Apple trailers:
Is your soul weighing you down? Paul Giamatti has found a solution! In the surreal comedy COLD SOULS, Paul Giamatti plays an actor named… Paul Giamatti. Stumbling upon an article in The New Yorker about a high-tech company that extracts, deep-freezes and stores people’s souls, Paul very well might have found the key to happiness for which he’s been searching. But, complications arise when he is the unfortunate victim of “soul-trafficking.” Giamatti’s journey takes him all the way to Russia in hopes of retrieving his stolen soul from an ambitious but talentless soap-opera actress.

Film Trailer – 2012
•June 23, 2009 • Leave a CommentRoland Emmerich really loves his disaster flicks and he just won’t let go. Here’s another take on world destruction, this time with the ‘predicted’ apocalypse in 2012. Hence the title.
It looks to me as though he’s once again going for an all out effects epic but with some fairly decent actors involved. Will they get enough screen time to show of their skills or will it just be overshadowed by CG water, CG meteors or CG everything.
Needless to say I’m pretty underwhelmed by this.

Here’s a few character images from the upcoming Alice in Wonderland flick thats being directed by freakishly creative Tim Burton. The cast is of course featuring some regulars (namely Depp and Bonham Carter) but no doubt we’ll see some amazing other characters pop up in this film along the way. I look forward to seeing the trailer as Burton’s styles should create a fascination vision of this wonderful story!

Synopsis: Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) has made a habit of running from what scares him. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) doesn’t have fears. If he did, he’d kick their ever-living ass. In a world overrun by zombies, these two are perfectly evolved survivors. But now, they’re about to stare down the most terrifying prospect of all; each other.

Retrospect Trailer – Spiderman (2002)
•June 20, 2009 • Leave a CommentI’d like to start showing some of the old trailers for films that really caught my eye when they first premiered. This film particularly stands in my memory as it features the World Trade Center Towers before 9/11. Its actually a pretty decent teaser and really gives a good taste of the atmosphere and feel to the first Spiderman film.

Film Trailer – World’s Greatest Dad
•June 19, 2009 • Leave a CommentRobin Williams, is a living legend. Period. Ok so he hasn’t really had a decent flick in the last few years or so but hell everyone’s entitled to some howlers. Fortunately ‘World’s Greatest Dad’ looks like some classic Robin Williams in action.
p.s. This is the Red Band trailer

Film Trailer – The Final Destination
•June 18, 2009 • Leave a Comment![]()
I’m so angry, so angry about this next film that I’m almost tempted to just show the trailer not talk about it and move on. But I won’t. So here it is, ‘The Final Destination’ or ‘Final Destination: How Many Kids Are Going to Cheat Death then Die in Different Interesting Ways.’ Unbelievabley this film still has an audience that craves to see the fantastically wonderful (and now 3D) ways in which teenagers die in the most easily set-up scenarios. The first Final Destination I get, it was a clever idea that took a new concept and pulled it together into a cool fresh ‘horror-thriller’ type flick. Apparently that’s as far as it goes for nothing new has occurred since and they aren’t about to buck the trend here. Oh except for the 3D…
No doubt it will make money and yet another of these will surface in a few years time. Yawn.
